Black Airplane is a product development company in Atlanta. Our senior, US-based team designs, builds, and runs custom software, from web and mobile apps to the platforms and AI behind them. We work with companies all over the world.

It depends on the work. In products we already run, we often ship several features a day: small changes can go out within hours, and bigger features take a few days. A new product takes time to understand first. You’ll try working parts of it within the first few weeks, and it’s in real people’s hands in about a month, or two to three months for a complex business. From there, we usually release every one to five days, at the pace that’s right for your business.

No. Anything that carries real customers and real data passes the same code review and security standards as everything else we ship, with tests named for your business rules behind every change.

You own the code, the data, and the cloud accounts it runs in. Many clients keep us on for years to support it and add new capabilities. If you’d rather run it with your own team, nothing depends on us.

Atlanta. Everyone on your product is a senior, full-time Black Airplane employee in the US. We work with companies all over the world, and we’re glad to meet in person when it helps.

It depends on scope. Initial engagements start around $25,000, a small product build is often around $100,000, and a typical platform build runs $250,000 to $500,000. Large, multi-year platforms go into the millions.
